I bought an oil bronzed Danze bathroom faucet about three years ago and the finish started wearing off after about a year. Given the price I paid, I was very disappointed. I noticed the Danze products have received high customer ratings here on Amazon to leave me wondering if they have someone stuffing the ballot box, or if the reviewers have simply not had these long enough to be aware of the finish problem.

I originally purchased a set by Delta and discovered after buying that I needed to also puchase a kit ($29 msrp) for it to install on countertops over 1" thick. This was not written on the box or instructions. I had to research the internet to find out. I also noticed a lot of cheap plastic parts on the Delta and at $279 per set I was not impressed. I brought them back to the store. I took a chance and went with the Danze Opulence in the rubbed bronze color. It does have a dark copper/brownish tint to it. But really looks great in our bathroom. The build of the Danze is much superior to anything I checked out at Home Depot or Lowes. The valves and drain assembly are solid brass and it is physically larger. My wife agreed with me that the Danze is much nicer and better built. It also installs with any thickness of counter tops. This faucet set exceeded our expectations. Very pleased.

This faucet looks fabulous with my "revival" era pedestal sink. It is very high quality. Bonus surprises: The spigot rotates, and there are tiny red and blue rings to indicate hot and cold on the handles. This lovely assembly costs less than a much less fashionable faucet at Home Depot!
